Easter is just around the corner and, like many people in London, you may be wondering what you’re going to do over the long weekend. Nothing says Easter quite like the hunt for chocolate eggs, so if you have children, or are just a child at heart, there are some fantastic Easter egg hunts happening around the city!

Some of these events will require you to purchase tickets to attend.

Buckingham Palace’s Royal Mews Easter egg hunt

Work together as a family at Buckingham Palace to find all the pictures that Rex the corgi and his two friends Majesty and Scout, the royal horses, have hidden all over the Royal Mews. Once you’ve found all the pictures, you’ll be able to claim a prize!

Fun for all the family, this Easter event doesn’t just stop with the scavenger hunt; there are many other activities available throughout the day, such as arts and crafts, dressing up and tours around the Mews!

Blenheim Palace’s Easter Weekend

Blenheim Palace has gone big for their Easter egg hunt this year! Discover all the 8ft tall decorated eggs around the grounds, discover the special Blenheim Egg and you could win an Easter surprise!

This fantastic weekend combines a whole host of activities and events, including a Victorian fairground, vintage rides, archery, a giant hedge maze and lots more to keep everyone entertained!

Bluebird Chelsea’s Easter egg hunt

Take your children to Bluebird to find out what the Easter bunny has left behind! With a large number of chocolate eggs hidden in and around the restaurant, this wonderful hunt will share the magic of Easter with everyone involved.

East Village London’s Wizard of Oz themed egg hunt

Step onto the yellow brick road, we’re going back to Oz! This quirky themed hunt will take you in and around the Athletes’ Village, meeting Dorothy and her friends – the tin man, the cowardly lion, and the scarecrow – while you hunt for delicious chocolate eggs.

Simply meet Dorothy on the Victory Parade to collect your basket and map and watch out for the Wicked Witch!

Hampton Court Palace’s Lindt gold bunny Easter hunt

Your little ones will love hunting through the beautiful home and gardens of Henry VIII to discover all the hidden bunnies! Once all have been discovered, they’ll be able to collect a delicious Lindt chocolate treat.

The hunt is not the only activity available during the event; discover the Magic Garden, get lost in the maze, become a secret spy at the Tudor court and even meet Princess Caroline in the Queen’s Guard Chamber!

Bubbledogs’ Hunt the Bubbles

Easter egg hunts aren’t just for children, as evidenced by Bubbledogs’ fun Hunt the Bubbles event! For the second year running, the team at Bubbledogs have hidden keepsake Champagne bottles and mini hotdogs around Soho and Fitzrovia for you to find!

Simply take a picture of your find, post it to Instagram or Twitter and then claim your free hotdog or glass of bubbles!

Cadbury’s National Trust Easter egg hunts

If you live near a National Trust property, now is the perfect time to visit! Over the Easter period, many of the National Trust’s properties, including Ham House, Morden Hall Park, Fenton House, Osterley, Red House, Sutton House and Eastbury Manor House, are teaming up with Cadbury’s to create a family-friendly, fun Easter egg hunt!

Cantina Laredo’s Find the Cascaron

Mexican restaurant Cantina Laredo has created an epic Easter egg hunt around Covent Garden based on the Mexican cascarones – decorative eggs used in celebrations! They have hidden over 100 eggs, including one special golden egg, for you to find! If you do discover one or more of these eggs, you could be in with a chance to win free margaritas, a £200 dinner, or another fantastic prize.

Simply find the eggs around Covent Garden and head to Cantina Laredo on Upper St Martin’s Lane to redeem your eggs!
